Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOC "Le Cave"
For its plentiful productivity and its sound adaptability to the
enviroment, the Barbera vine is the most known in Piedmont.
It's a wine with a marked personality and high good crop years;
after a suitable ageing assumes, in fragrance and taste, characteristic
like Barolo.

Exposure: South - South West
Soil: calcareus, alkalin, it prefers not much asphixiated
soils. Row with "Guyot" pruning.
Alcohol content: 14%
Colour: fasted ruby with garnet-red and sometimes violet
reflexes more or less intense.
Aroma: intense, fruity, with black-currant, raspberry and
forest fruits aftertaste.
Taste: full, warm, lightly citric in a new wine, but that
leaves place to sapid with the bottle's ageing.
Best with main courses, meat with sauces and with fresh cheeses.
